North Jakarta Water Unit starts to clean Cakung River Drain. His side deploys one heavy equipment and tens personnel to clean trash along river flow for five kilometers long.

"We use amphibious excavator due to many trash and sedimentation," said Lambas Sigalingging, Head of North Jakarta Water Unit, Thursday (1/4).
Cleaning is started from Jembatan Tinggi KBN to Cakung Drain Estuary, in Cilincing Fish Auction Site (TPI).
Cakung River Cleaned"Many obstacles in cleaning Cakung River Drain. Especially in operating heavy equipment. But we need to be careful thus it is all clean," he said.
He considers this cleaning is hard to be done since there are many illegal buildings along riverside. Moreover, there are many fishermen's boats moored at estuary during the day.
